México vive una situación de violencia extrema, inseguridad e impunidad que afecta también a la población joven. Y si bien el Estado ha tomado medidas para hacer frente a esta situación, como reforzar sus leyes en materia de protección a los derechos humanos, existe una profunda brecha entre el andamiaje legislativo y judicial y la realidad cotidiana que viven millones de personas, exhibió la Comisión Interamericana de Derechos Humanos (CIDH).
