El guitarrista Keith Levene, fundador del grupo británico The Clash, ha fallecido debido a un cáncer de hígado en su casa de Norfolk, en Inglaterra, a los 65 años de edad.
Nació como Julian Levene en Londres y con 18 años fundó The Clash junto al guitarrista Mick Jones y el bajista Paul Simonon, acompañados por el manager de la banda, Bernard Rhodes, quien pidió al cantaste Joe Strummer unirse al grupo.
