Carlos A. Carrillo.- Un grupo de obreros del ingenio San Cristóbal de este municipio golpeó a Gabriel Silva Ortega, secretario General del Sindicato Independien-te 5608, debido a que ya estaba harto de sus malos manejos. Trascendió que tres personas que acompañaban en esos momentos a Silva Ortega también fueron agredidas. Después del linchamiento, el líder sindical fue trasladado a la Clínica del IMSS de Cosamaloapan.
