El Servicio Sismológico Nacional reportó el movimiento telúrico a las 8:08 horas e informó que tuvo su epicentro 83 kilómetros a suroeste de Ometepec.
El sismo de intensidad leve también fue reportado por la alerta SkyAlert y por usuarios de redes sociales.
